Road Trips
The Brown Ledge Gap Year introduces you to the variety of regional America through residencies in Burlington, Vermont; Salt Lake City, UT; and New Orleans, Louisiana, but there’s a lot of country in between! Going from city to city, we have left ourselves some time (ten days from Burlington to Salt Lake; six days from Salt Lake to New Orleans) to sample some of the amazing, weird and wonderful parts of America that we pass through on our All-Program Road Trips.
Maybe that means: visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, hiking in the Rockies, seeing the largest Twine Ball in Cawker City,
KS, taking in a night of music in Austin, camping in Great Sand Dunes National Park …
The start point and end point of our trips are set, but you and your peers get to decide the route in between during your orientation in Malletts Bay.
We have the time and a van; we’ll decide where to go, when to stop, and what to do depending on the group’s interests.
